Ward 117 councillor Tim Truluck says it takes a community to make a city work

Ward 117 councillor Tim Truluck said if people work and stick together, we can come through and devise new ways to survive and thrive in our city.

Ward 117 councillor Tim Truluck, said as 2023 draws to a close, the City of Joburg lurches ever closer to becoming a failed municipality.

“The budget is a fiction, the entities are bankrupt and dysfunctional. But, yet, here we still are. We are going to have to dig deep, build our up and support our community groups like Residents Associations.”

Truluck added, “Where we find pockets of municipal officials and depots that are still able to work, we need to support them and make sure we leverage the maximum advantage for our communities.”

He concluded that the next year was going to be tough, but if people worked and stick together, people could come through it all and devise new ways to survive and thrive in the city
