Pioneer House crowns Mr and Mrs Pioneer House

Pioneer House has been operating for 60+ years.

Pioneer House crowned their Mr and Mrs Pioneer House in pageantry fashion where social workers and family members were invited as guests in Oaklands on November 24.
Occupational therapist Kinisha Pillay said the day was to celebrate the elderly residents.

“We want to make and keep our elderly residents happy and make them feel like they have purpose and meaning. The idea came from another resident from another village who had a similar event.”

Pillay added the home takes care of elderly people who were not only sick but required constant help with day-to-day activities.
The care centre has been operating for 60+ years and continues to be a popular establishment.
Residents are accommodated in single or shared rooms and garden areas where they can enjoy visits with friends and family or simply relax.
