The Gazette went out and asked locals which place they recommend couples try this coming Valentine’s Day on February 14.

ITUMELENG MODIBA: I would recommend for couples to try the Johannesburg full-day tour and visit areas like Soweto, Apartheid Museum, and Johannesburg city, it is good for couples that want to go in groups or families.
LUCCIA MASHEL: I think couples should spend their day at Fourways farmer’s market.
CHARITY MPOFU: Love is beautiful and needs to be celebrated every day, I would suggest a great indoor picnic and gifts.
ITUMELENG PRINCE: Mythos Rosebank is the place to be for February 14, as they have mouth-watering food.
RACHEL SIBANDA AND REBECCA SIBANDA: Some of the best places to go to on Valentine’s Day are here at Rosebank The Zone, we would recommend for guys take their partners to any restaurant here and then go to movies afterwards.
GOITSEONA MODISANE: I stay close to the nicest outdoor restaurant, I would recommend AJ’s Park restaurants for lunch, and then dinner they can try places in Sandton for dinner.
DORAH VAN NIEKERK: As a 51-year-old, I would recommend a quiet time at a park with fruits and drinks, and here in Craighall Park, the best spot is Rattray Park.
ZANELE MBENGO: We have a lot of hidden gems in Rosebank, and I recommend the Fishmonger in Rosebank as the best place to fall in love.
AUDREY SIBANDA: Hyde Park Corner is a great place with unique restaurants that lovers or couples can try; I recommend that place.
