S’Villa speaks about his journey to music

S'Villa singer has his eyes on conquering the world.

Proud of his prowess as a producer, singer, rapper, and songwriter, Sicelo Ngwenya, aka S’Villa, is one of the best artists in the South African music industry.

Signed under the Rosebank-based record label Ambitiouz Entertainment, S’Villa pointed out that there was no doubt that music was his calling as he had been singing since a tender age.
Being a versatile artist in the Afro-pop and amapiano genres, S’Villa’s sounds showcase his multidimensional production, singing, and rap skills.

“I fell in love with music when I was five, but what kept it alive was when my family would gather around, and we would sing old church hymns until the wee hours of the morning.”

Sicelo Ngwenya has been in the music industry for more than 10 years.

He said he was introduced to music by his older brother, started imitating his favourite artists, and eventually found his voice.

He credits his inspiration to past and living legends including Bhekumuzi Luthuli, Anthony Hamilton, Babyface, and Vuyo Mokoena, to name a few.

“Being in the music industry for 10 years has been a rollercoaster ride like every career but when I found out my single Jehovah reached platinum, for me it meant that people appreciated my work, and it is motivating.”

S’Villa wishes to work with the brilliant DJ Maphorisa, as he has been watching him since Maphorisa’s single Uhuru made it big.
