Childline aims to continue helping families in the coming year

Thousands of families received help through Childline's services.

Childline’s Gauteng Director Lynne Cawood reflects on an uncertain year for the NPO.

Cawood said that Childline was blessed to have survived Covid-19 and to continue to serve its clients.

“Thousands of children and families received healing through our services; the 24/7 Toll-Free Help Line on the 116 number; community-based counselling services in Johannesburg, Soweto, Sebokeng, etc provided professional counselling and community awareness talks on child safety. Our Sunlight House initiative took in many children in life-threatening circumstances.”
