Membership fees will help Craigpark Residents’ Association continue with clean-up efforts.
Two gentlemen employed by Craigpark Residents Association (CRA) have been keeping Craighall and Craighall Park free of litter.
Caron Askew, an association committee member looking after the environmental and social media portfolios, said Pule Hlalele and Mpho Mthonti have been hard at work collecting litter along Jan Smuts Avenue at the Conrad Drive intersection since the beginning of June.
“The CRA employs Pule and Mpho to weed the Jan Smuts [Avenue] pavements and we have added an extra day clean-up for our suburb,” she said.
“Local residents and CRA members Sarah Cairns and Sue Winkler have dedicated time to coordinate these efforts for which the CRA are so grateful.
“It is thorough these collaborations with residents and the CRA that we will be able to drive change in our area and make Craighall and Craighall Park suburbs to be proud of. The CRA relies on membership fees to continue with these clean-up efforts so we appeal to residents to join the CRA,” said Askew.
