Former pro tennis player coaches tennis academy members

Tennis academy based in Greenside is run by seasoned coach with over 30 years’ experience.

A tennis academy that has been around for 12 years caters for the tennis skill needs of both children and adults.

The Sue Rollinson Tennis Academy (SRTA) has been run by Alex and Sue Steyn since its inception. The academy offers private coaching from Mondays to Saturdays.

Sue has been involved in and coached tennis for over 30 years. She has achieved the highest qualifications in South Africa that SA Tennis can provide. “SRTA is an established academy. We have a highly skilled and trained team of coaches that demonstrate patience and enthusiasm. We currently run our academy at Pirates Tennis Club, Greenside and Grayston Preparatory School,” said Sue.

Sue is an ex-pro tennis player, who has played all major tournaments including Wimbledon, US Open, French and European tournaments. She has had wins over Billie-Jean King and Wendy Turnbull. Sue’s national ranking was always between one and three. She has coached international and provincial teams.

The academy coaches all levels and ages, from mini tennis to high performance with cardio tennis for adults and holiday clinics included.

Sue concluded, “We would love if the community would join us at our holiday clinics and our junior social on a Saturday morning.”
