Brand SA’s new ambassadors will play their part in an upcoming business initiative.

Nine new ambassadors were inducted virtually and at The Capital Empire Hotel. The induction was attended by existing ambassadors who were encouraged to be mentors in the Play Your Part business initiative.

New ambassador Dr Samke Ngcobo said she was thrilled to join Brand SA to educate people about the importance of mental health. “I am a medical doctor who has been living with bipolar disorder for the past 21 years.

“I felt it is a responsibility for me to use my journey to empower other people, as well as collaborate with a national brand in order to change the narrative and broaden the reach of my message in mental health advocacy.”

Legal practitioner in international trade Lethabo Sithole added that being a brand ambassador was a good platform for her work. “Being a managing partner for an international trade investment firm means it seeks to mobilise resources for developing the continent.

“This partnership means a lot to me because I work for and on the continent by raising the South African flag in the spirit of Pan- Africanism.”

Brand Fushion’s representative ( Brand SA’s client) Matthews Jones said Brand SA would be helping TVET College and other educational institution students .”We’ll be selecting students and guiding them how to pitch their business ideas. The idea around igniting is to inspire and encourage entrepreneurship.

” From the ambassadors, we would like your assistance from a judging perspective; we want your expertise in your various fields to judge the pitches.

“We would also like ambassadors to be mentors, we will have a lot of students with great ideas and dreams and these might be students that ambassadors mentor along the journey. This is an opportunity too for ambassadors to empower in their own capacity.”
