Dance stars perform their excellent best

The dance crew from St Mary’s School, Waverley was awarded first in the South African Body Of Dance (Sabod) competition in Roodepoort Theatre.

The school’s head of marketing Kathy Mittendorf shared that the competition was held at Roodepoort Theatre on May 13. Sabod is the only dance body in South Africa affiliated to the International Dance Organisation.

Mittendorf said the girls performed a lyrical jazz routine choreographed by Shelley Innes. In the competition, St Mary’s School learner Agape Mhlanga placed second for her solo in the lyrical jazz section.
