Be enthralled by this puppet show

PARKTOWN – The theatre decided to invite different puppeteers to showcase the diversity of the puppetry art form in various styles throughout the year.

Children are invited to be enchanted by the stories of a lonely baboon in search of friends at the National Children’s Theatre on March 26 at 11:00 at the Indoor Inspiration Theatre.

The Babbling Baboon, presented by Petrus Productions, tells the tale of a baboon who goes on a quest and meets up with other animals such as a lion, a vulture, an ostrich and even a small hedgehog.

Eleonore Godfroy of the National Children’s Theatre said the puppet show allows audiences to discover four original stories with Marionettes, which tells the tale of making friends and helping one another.

“The Babbling Baboon is an interactive and entertaining show that will bring children into a different universe and teaches them life skills. This time, the show focuses on friendships,” said Godfroy.

“Puppets tell all kinds of stories and take the children on a journey of discovery and often lead to excitement and interactive interactions from the children,” said Godfroy.

The next puppet show will be Bunny and The Magic Hat presented by SHIRiNKRAY Puppets as part of the Easter weekend celebrations from April 16 at 15:00 to April 17 at 10:00.

The show is aimed at children aged three and up and lasts about 40 minutes.
