Come and showcase your talent

NORWOOD – Local youth invited to talent fun day.

The #LeanOnMe awareness campaign against the abuse/misuse of codeine is hosting an art, sport, and recreational fun day.

According to the Norwood Community Police Forum, the purpose of the day is to give local youths an opportunity to showcase their talent. This is in an attempt to encourage local youth to rather ‘lean on their talent’ when in need of an escape rather than being tempted to lean on the substance ‘lean’ (codeine and soft drink mix).

The event on March 25 will take place from 09:00 to 15:00 at Paterson Park, Norwood. Activities will include music and dance, open mic performances as well as soccer and netball. Registration at the venue will take place at 08:30, alternatively, performer registration may be made on Hillbrow Radio’s social media pages – under the event comment section.

No over 18s allowed unless they are a parent or guardian of an attendee #LeanOnMe.
