Hyde Park High School recently celebrated its top achievements at its annual honours evening.

According to the school’s communications secretary Avril Wright, the honours evening is deemed one of the most important events on the school calendar.

“This event, which is attended by parents and learners, acknowledges the outstanding achievements of the top 2021 learners across all grades, as well as recognising sportsmen and women who excelled across various sporting codes.”

Special mention went to the Grade 12 joint-dux award winners, Rivaan Ramdass, Justine Govender and Bontsi Pitsoe, for achieving the best results for the 2021 IEB matric results.

Extramural honours for swimming, for both the junior and senior victrix ludorum recipients, were praised for their exceptional swims at the recent school inter-house gala.
