“I played a lot of golf on the SA kids golf circuit which helped me progress and play more competitive events like the ones of the Central Gauteng Golf Union. After making the U13 provincial team as a 12-year-old, I realised that I could do great things and continued to work hard knowing that I could succeed.”

He said he loved the challenge of getting better.

“There’s nothing better in golf than seeing the hard work and long hours pay off in tournaments. I love to compete and be on the hunt for the win.”

He also enjoyed the competitive nature of the sport which drove him to perform well.
