Learn more about rare diseases

CRAIGHALL PARK – Rymer said that there is a great need for medical research, which is why creating awareness is key.

Did you know that in South Africa there are 4.1 million people living with a rare disease?

Craighall Park resident, rare diseases ambassador and online fitness company owner Farrah Rymer is passionate about people living their healthiest life.

“It’s devastating knowing that there are so many suffering with a rare disease every single day,” said Rymer.

“Many people are ill and undiagnosed. Those that are undiagnosed often don’t have a cure. Less than 5% of the 7 000 rare diseases can be treated.”
