The Class of 2021 matrics at Greenside High School were jubilant on the morning of January 21 as they walked through the gates of their school for the final time to receive their matric results.
The matrics received an outstanding 100% pass rate with a total of 224 distinctions from 204 learners.
One learner achieved eight distinctions, one more achieved seven and seven others achieved six distinctions.
Speaking to the Gazette, deputy headmaster Craig Strauss said, “We are exceptionally proud of our learners. Even though it was a difficult year amidst Covid-19 and all the restrictions that were put in place, our learners still thrived. This is a proud moment for Greenside High.”
He also thanked the team of hard-working teachers who went beyond the call of duty to ensure that the Class of 2021 were well prepared for the National Senior Certificate (NSC) exams.
