Kingsmead College is extremely proud of their matric learners who achieved a 100% pass rate and 100 bachelor degree pass.
The 69 candidates produced a total of 211 distinctions.
Top student and head girl Ammaarah Wadee achieved a total of eight distinctions and was ranked in the top 1% for all her subjects. All her eight distinctions included marks in the 90% range. She also achieved an outstanding 100% for maths and 99% for advanced programme mathematics, physical science and life orientation.
The average Class of 2021 matric at Kingsmead College achieved three distinctions.
Awards for outstanding achievement were also given to Wadee for achieving results in the top 5% in six or more subjects and a distinction for life orientation.
A commendable achievement award was given to Amélie Campher for achievement in the top 5% in five subjects and distinction in life orientation.
Students also ranked in the top 1% in various subjects. These included:
- Lucy Clegg for English and Advanced Programme English
- Ammaarah Wadee for Advanced Programme English, Mathematics, English, Information Technology, isiZulu, Life Orientation, Life Sciences and Physical Science
- Amélie Campher for Afrikaans First Additional Language, Computer Applications Technology and English
- Nomathemba Magwegwe for Consumer Studies
- Gallia Fenster for English and Life Orientation.
