PSL star sets his sights on Europe! Hints at huge offers

Peter Shalulile is a favourite with Betway to become the first player in the Premiership since Siyabonga Nomvethe to score 20 goals.

One of the best players in the DSTV Premiership over the last couple of years has revealed his dream to play in Europe.

Speaking to journalists recently, Mamelodi Sundowns striker Peter Shalulile spoke about his plans for his side in the CAF Champions League, and his big dream to play overseas, preferably in the English Premier League.

He is currently the favourite in the race for the Lesley Manyathela Golden Boot, and has outscored Senegal’s Sadio Mane in the 2022 African World Cup qualifiers.

“That’s my dream and that’s what I want to accomplish before doors open in Europe,” said Shalulile.

Shalulile is already building a name for himself across the African continent, and his dream to go to Europe is understandable for any ambitious player. He has the potential to be a big star in many European teams. Betway live soccer betting will continue to bring the DSTV Premiership and other top leagues in the continent and abroad.

He hinted at receiving big offers from Europe, but he first intends to help the Brazilians win their second continental championship.

“To be honest, I want to finish everything in style because they changed my life, financially also. So I want to give them the token of saying thank you so much and giving them the second star and going to Europe,”

“I always wanted to play in the English Premier League, where the Mane’s and Salah’s are. But if things don’t work out, Spain I don’t mind, Germany I don’t mind,” he added.

Peter Shalulile is a favourite with Betway to become the first player in the Premiership since Siyabonga Nomvethe to score 20 goals.

The Namibian international has been in outstanding form for Mamelodi Sundowns this season, scoring 13 goals in a campaign that has seen the Tshwane giants dominate the league as expected.

Nomvethe, who is currently an assistant coach at AmaZulu under Benni McCarthy, was the last player in the Premiership to score 20 goals in 2011/12 while playing for Moroka Swallows. The Swallows lost the league title to the Orlando Pirates that season, but Nomvethe’s impact on the Dube Birds will be remembered.

In Friday’s 4-1 demolition of Orlando Pirates at Loftus Versfeld, the Brazilians’ striker scored a league-leading 13th goal of the season.

Shalulile equaled the record set by Zimbabwean “Silver Fox” Wilfred Mugeyi when playing for Bush Bucks with his 24th goal of the calendar year.

Peter Shalulile has two more games to beat the record before Christmas provided he maintains the same hunger for goal. Bet on different markets for those matches, and more with Betway for a chance to win big with one of the leading bookmakers.

Shalulile scored 15 goals last season, and he appears to be on track to surpass that total this season. Brent Carelse, a former Sundowns midfielder, feels the youngster has what it takes to reach the 20-goal mark.

“I think he is one player who can reach 20 goals. If he stays fit, on form and Sundowns keep creating the goal scoring opportunities for him, then I am sure he can get there. He’s been very clinical since arriving at Sundowns,” said Carelse.
