Craigpark Resident Association hosted a festive night run for its members

CRAIGHALL – Dogs were decorated with antlers, prams with lights, bikes wrapped in tinsel, and runners had a lot of spirit.

Craigpark Resident Association‘s (CRA) members showed their festive spirit when they completed a 5km Festive Night Run.

The association held its inaugural Festive Night Run on December 2, with a great turnout and sponsorship from association business members, CNR Café and Giles Restaurant.

Dogs were decorated with antlers, prams with lights, bikes wrapped in tinsel, and runners had a lot of spirit.

Participants wore festive hats and were welcome to donate food or cash towards the Salvation Army. The association is seeking more members in 2022 to join by volunteering their time and skills to sign up on the company’s website.

The association thanked everyone, on social media, who participated in the run, including the sponsors. “Thank you to CRA business members Giles for providing refreshments along the way and to CNR Café for supplying complimentary beer, wine and snacks in the newly opened underbar behind Vice Coffee Shop.”

The CRA is one of the oldest residents’ associations in Joburg. It is run by and for the residents and operates with the support of the Craigpark residents.

Among its goals, the association aimed to maintain property values, address community issues, provide residents with clean housing, and assist them through good relationships with the authorities.

The association also said, “If your new year resolution is to help create change in our neighbourhood, then please sign up as a member on our website.”
