St Mary’s School, Waverley achieves first place in rowing championships

WAVERLEY – St Mary's School, Waverley recently showed their mettle in the Gauteng School's Rowing Championships.

The St Mary’s School, Waverley, rowing team recently won in the annual Gauteng Schools’ Rowing Championships.

The event, at Germiston Lake, went ahead despite weather conditions being less than favourable.

In addition to coming first overall out of all of the contending girls’ schools, the school’s rowing team achieved some excellent results, winning medals across all age-group categories.
