New committee members for the Norwood CPF

NORWOOD – The Norwood CPF has welcomed the re-election of its committee members.

The Norwood CPF held a general meeting to elect it’s new committee. The meeting was held at the Norwood Police Station on September 15 where a Community Policing Forum (CPF) committee was elected. The Norwood CPF has four sectors within the Norwood Police Station precinct, and the forum carries out tasks such as patrolling the streets as ‘eyes and ears’ for the police.

“It is a great achievement for the Norwood precinct. For the first time in many years the CPF executive in all four sectors is up and running. This is a great boon to the community because the residents now have a direct channel to voice their concerns and escalate security issues,” said Ward 73 councillor Eleanor Hugget.
