The ‘four Cs’ needed to revolutionise Rosebank

ROSEBANK – Recovery of the Rosebank area is possible if we work together says property company Hyprop portfolio executive and Upper Rosebank Management District (RMD) chairperson Nicole Greenstone.

To transform the Rosebank area, four Cs are needed – currency, cosmopolitanism, concentration and charisma.

This, according to portfolio executive of property company Hyprop, and Upper Rosebank Management District (RMD) chairperson, Nicole Greenstone.

“We have had over 500 days of lockdown which was originally meant to last only three weeks,” she told the Gazette. “It is not just the environment which has changed, but also our goals and definitions of success as the RMD.” She said for her, success was evidenced in any business which had navigated its way through the prolonged pandemic and was still open and operating today.

She added that all Rosebank businesses and residents could cooperate with RMD in bringing these four Cs to fruition. “The RMD operates on a voluntary basis. We welcome involvement and support from any interested residents. We are actively trying to grow our membership base and welcome any support and involvement from interested parties and residents.”

She added that it was actually quite heartbreaking to see a node that was once so lively and energised, be emptied of its occupants and to see so many businesses close their doors, some permanently.

“Nonetheless, there are signs of recovery and every day the node gains traction. The relaxation of lockdown restrictions will certainly boost the occupancy levels and the fortunes of its business owners. We look forward to a strong recovery in the last quarter of the year.
