The Orange Grove Community Concerned Citizens Residents Association, Orange Grove and surrounds’ community members use music to heal.
The Linksfield singalong was put together by the association’s Evan Milner with the sole desire of using music to bring joy into the lives of Covid-19 patients currently in isolation and with no outside contact.
It was also to comfort and give strength to medical staff who work hard to save lives on a daily basis.

The singalong started at 16:00 until 17:00 and had 50 attendees including hospital staff and community members from Orange Grove and surrounding suburbs. The group sang songs such as Heal The World, the South African national anthem, Shosholoza and We are the world to name a few, to bring comfort to the patients and to strengthen them, using music.
