ROUXVILLE – Masotsha said that the suspects were detained at the Wierdabrug Police Station and the vehicle was impounded in Pretoria West.

Norwood police confirmed that three suspects were arrested 48 hours after the murder, house robbery and theft of a motor vehicle in Rouxville on July 12.

“The victim’s car and household goods were taken during the violent house robbery,” said Masotsha.

“The team deployed searched for the vehicle that was taken and within 48 hours it was located at a shopping mall in Centurion. Observation was done and the team effected an arrest and seizure.”

Masotsha said that three suspects were detained and searched. The driver of the victim’s vehicle was found in possession of the victim’s documents. Further investigation led to the house of the suspect in Olievenhoutbosch.

Masotsha said that items found belonging to the victim at the suspect’s house were seized. Some items purchased by the suspect were also seized and reported to the asset forfeiture unit.

“Even the cellphone of the diseased was recovered.”

“Norwood SAPS management congratulates all role players who worked tirelessly to effect the arrest.”
