Premier visits drive-thru vaccination site at the Houghton Masjid
HOUGHTON – This vaccination site is offering the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

Gauteng Premier David Makhura visited the vaccination site on July 27.
Makhura said, “It shows great leadership to have a community become part of the solution to a pandemic and I am very impressed with the results this partnership keeps showing.”

Community members over the age of 35 are invited to be vaccinated at the Houghton Masjid at 49 West Street from July 27.
Locals are urged to visit the drive-thru vaccination site after registering on the national Electronic Vaccination Data System (EVDS).
This vaccination site is offering the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
To register for the vaccine, visit www.vaccine.enroll.health.gov.za
Chairman of the Muslim Association of South Africa, Yaseen Theba said they were pleased to facilitate the vaccination site.
“The site is open for everyone that’s eligible [at this stage age 35 and over]. We plan to accommodate as many people as possible,” said Theba.
The operating hours at the site are between 08:00 and 16:00 from Monday to Thursday and between 8:00 and 15:00 on Saturdays.
