Local Parkview pharmacy goes the extra-mile

PARKVIEW – Parkview’s Tyrone Pharmacy lends a helping hand to pharmacies that have been negatively affected by the unrest.

A local pharmacy in Parkview is sending essential medication to pharmacies in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) which were affected by the looting in that province.

Tyrone Pharmacy is a small independent community-based business and has come to the aid of some of the more than 90 pharmacies in KZN which have been left unable to serve their communities.

Pharmacies play such an important role in communities and especially at a time like this where the country is faced with a pandemic and is in need of medical supplies more than ever.

With the help of the community, Tyrone Pharmacy has completed two deliveries to KZN.

“Our motto is ‘take good care’ and it’s a motto we strive to fulfill through community initiatives,” said Kelly Robinson, who co-owns the pharmacy with Cheryl Kuit.
