SafeParks and Cortac work together to equip domestic workers with safety tips

PARKHURST – SafeParks and Cortac are hosting a safety awareness session for domestic and general workers.

SafeParks in collaboration with local security company Cortac and Parkview police will host a safety awareness session for domestic staff who work in Parkview North and Parkhurst.

“Our domestic staff are an important part of our home environment and it is therefore imperative that we ensure they have the knowledge and tools to proactively prevent crime, not only in our neighborhood but in their own personal lives as well,” said Mark Notelovitz, managing director of Cortac.

“Cortac believes in uniting families and their staff, because education strengthens home security and also creates a sense of trust and empowerment.”

These regular domestic security awareness sessions will be hosted for domestic workers, nannies and gardeners. The employees will be provided with important knowledge and safety tips and advice on how to keep themselves, the families they work for and the homes safe at all times.

The one-hour long session will be held on 24 June at 10.30am at GodFirst Church in Parkhurst. Parkhurst and Parktown North residents are encouraged to send their domestic helpers, nannies and gardeners to attend the session.
