Rosie Community rises to the occasion
CRAIGHALL PARK – The successful fundraising was accomplished on St Teresa’s Pyjama Day combined with Slipper Day.
This year, St Teresa’s School combined their annual Pyjama Day with Reach for a Dream’s annual Slipper Day fundraiser.
According to computer teacher and marketing liaison at the school Lianda May, in addition to purchasing a sticker for Slipper Day which took place on 7 May, the girls were invited to bring new or used winter clothing and/or blankets to school to be donated through Sisters of Mercy to their various shelters and outreach projects.
She said, “As always, our Rosie community rose to the occasion and we raised R3 660 for Reach for a Dream and received bags and bags of clothing and blankets which we know are going to keep many disadvantaged families snug and warm this winter.”
