Two Class of 2020 matrics achieve top awards at district prize giving

PARKTOWN – Nasr Moolla top home the coveted top achiever award in the district with a 92 per cent average and nine distinctions.

Parktown Boys’ High School is proud of Class of 2020 achievers Nasr Moolla and Simbarashe Marutawana who took home awards at the district prize-giving.

Acting head of marketing at the school Alexander Meintjies said, “These two Parktown Boys have excelled in a year like no other. Through all the immense challenges that came with 2020, our young men have soared above the rest.”

Simbarashe achieved an outstanding average of 98 per cent for business studies earning him the top achiever award in the district.

Nasr achieved a 96 per cent average for physical science, making him the highest placed learner and top achiever in the district.

“This is a remarkable achievement on its own, however, Nasr did not stop there. This particularly gifted Parktown Boy also took home the much-coveted award for the top overall achiever in the district with an average of 92 per cent. His final matric report is truly something to behold with nine distinctions in total.”

The school is also immensely proud of its mathematics results with 27 distinctions and more than 75 per cent participation in the subject, placing the school among the top-performing schools in the province.
