Sandton police applaud sergeant for successful conviction of two car-hijackers

BRYANSTON – Car-hijackers Sandile Kwinane (45) and Lawrence Sikhosana (34) were convicted on 10 February.

The community and management of the Sandton Police Station applauded the work of investigating officer Sergeant Rulph Lebea and the Alexandra Magistrates’ Court following the conviction of two car-hijackers.

Soweto-based car-hijackers Sandile Kwinane (45) and Lawrence Sikhosana (34) were convicted on 10 February.

The duo was arrested on 12 September 2019 for car-hijacking shortly after an incident that took place in Bryanston.

Spokesperson for the Sandton Police Station Captain Bheki Xulu said, “Investigating officer Sergeant Lebea followed the information which led to the arrest in a short space of time and they were charged for possession of a robbed vehicle.”
