KES learner represents South Africa at World School’s Debating Championship

HOUGHTON – Marcus represented the country at the World School's Debating Championship on 19–21 February, which was organised by Christ University Parliamentary, based in South Korea.

King Edward VII School (KES), based in Houghton, is proud of Grade 11 learner Marcus Cordiero who was selected as a reserve speaker for the National Schools Debating Team 2021.

In addition, Grade 10 learner Russel Davies and Grade 9 learner Osiame Sekano were also selected to trial for a spot on the South African National Junior Debating Team.

Marketing and communications manager at KES Caroline Vorster said, “These are outstanding achievements which have been attained through sheer hard work and determination.”
