Woodrock Pop-Up Shop hosts book sale to raise funds for dog sterilisations

PARKTOWN NORTH – All books cost R10 each with proceeds going to assist in the sterilisation drive during the month of February.

The Woodrock Pop-Up Shop located at The Garden Shop in Parktown North will host a book sale on 30 and 31 January.

The sale aims to raise funds to support the animal rescue centre’s sterlisation drive during the month of February.

Community members are encouraged to support the sale by purchasing books for as little as R10 each.

Co-founder of the centre Stella Meldau said Woodrock aimed to raise enough money to sterilise 200 dogs next month.

The sale will take place between 9am and 2pm on 30 and 31 January at The Garden Shop at the corner of Jan Smuts Avenue and Chester Road in Parktown North.

Meldau said, “To our incredible amazing community who support our pop-up, we are deeply grateful. Thanks for your valued support and kindness. You are our biggest cheerleaders. We welcome the youth to visit to become our new ambassadors, advocating and supporting the voiceless.”
