Ward 117 councillor hopes for change

He added that the municipal entities and departments that are meant to be running, cleaning and repairing the City are becoming less and less able to function properly due to mismanagement, disharmony in their ranks and corruption.

Ward 117 councillor Tim Truluck wished everyone in the ward well over the holidays.

“We are living in very trying and stressful times with the threat of the ever-present Covid-19 infection that looms over us, along with the resultant economic upheaval and the social threat it has caused,” Truluck said.

He added that the municipal entities and departments that are meant to be running, cleaning and repairing the City are becoming less and less able to function properly due to mismanagement, disharmony in their ranks and corruption.

The councillor concluded, “My wishes for 2021 are that effective vaccines will soon be available to all South Africans so that we can rebuild after the devastation wrought by the Covid-19 virus. And that the 2021 Local Government Elections to be held in the latter part of the year, result in a change of leadership in the city that will result in the City of Johannesburg being able to function properly again.”
