Parktown Girls continue tradition of donating school shoes to learners in need

PARKVIEW – The shoes were donated to St Vincent de Paul Society where they will be distributed to children in need.

The Parktown Girls matric Class of 2020 completed their final English examination paper on 9 December.

As is Parktown tradition, the matrics left behind their school shoes as they exited the hall.

The shoes have since been donated to the ‘Footloose’ Shoe Collection run by St Vincent de Paul Society, a non-profit social service organisation dedicated to serving people in need.

The donations are distributed to children in need, many of whom often do not go to school because they do not have shoes to wear.
