Girls have fun during physical education

Computer educator at the school Lianda May said their Grade 1, 2 and 3 girls dressed up as cowgirls and participated in a fun-filled line dancing morning.

St Teresa’s Junior Primary School in Craighall Park was recently transformed into the ‘Wild West’.

“During the physical education lessons, our girls have focused on different types of dancing, including the Jerusalema and line dancing,” said physical education educator Nicole Davis.

She added that there are many advantages to line dancing with regards to coordination, stamina, balance, midline crossing as well as nifty footwork to build confidence, among others.

“Our girls thoroughly enjoyed learning new dances and having music during their physical education lessons. It has been a wonderful time for the girls to just ‘let loose’ and have a little fun in these uncertain times,” said Davis.
