Parktown Girls Rise Against Hunger

PARKTOWN – Volunteers were entertained with music by local artists including Loyiso Bala.

Eight learners from Parktown High School for Girls joined a Rise Against Hunger packaging event at Rand Steam Shopping Centre recently.

The event was hosted by Graeme Richards and filmed by the Espresso Show on SABC 3 where Parktown Girls featured in an interview.

Volunteers were entertained with music by local artists including Loyiso Bala.

A total of 41 000 meals were packed and will be distributed to beneficiary Umphakathi in Yeoville. Umphakathi’s activities range from hunger relief to crime prevention with their main goal being to restore Yeoville to its former glory.
