Matric Class of 2020 celebrated for achievements

Parktown High School for Girls recently hosted their valediction ceremony for the matric Class of 2020.

Parktown High School for Girls recently hosted their valediction ceremony for the matric Class of 2020.

Marketing manager at the school Kerry Liss said it was with regret that they had to host the function without parents due to Covid-19 regulations. The event was streamed for families.

The following awards were presented to learners on the day:

18 learners also received academic honours.

Academic honours are awarded to a learner who obtains a re-award of Academic Full Colours, with an average above 80 per cent:

Due to circumstances, the school was unable to host their annual Night of Stars function. They did, however, see learners complete the nationals for the cultural and sportswoman of the year and learners voted for the 2021 sport and cultural captains.
