Covid-19 infections in Region B rise to 3 910

JOBURG – The region includes Randburg, Rosebank, Emmarentia, Greenside, Melville, Mayfair, Northcliff, Parktown and Parktown North.

The Gauteng Department of Health has confirmed that Covid-19 cases in Johannesburg’s suburbs of Region B have reached 3 910 as of 7 July.

The region, which includes Randburg, Rosebank, Emmarentia, Greenside, Melville, Mayfair, Northcliff, Parktown and Parktown North, also recorded 1 547 recoveries.

Also in the northern suburbs, Region E recorded 5 316 cases and 1 660 recoveries.

Suburbs in the region include Alexandra, Wynberg, Sandton, Orange Grove and Houghton.

The Johannesburg district recorded 33 750 cases and 12 617 recoveries while 236 people have lost their lives to the novel virus.

A total of 355 cases and 84 recoveries remain unallocated.
