Learn more about fitness expert Lisa Raleigh’s journey to success

PARKHURST – Raleigh said she always wanted to help people and be in the service industry.

Wellness and fitness expert for over 17 years Lisa Raleigh says moving is one of the most important things you can do for your mind and body.

You may have seen this Parkhurst resident on TV in her role as blue team leader on South Africa’s Biggest Loser or perhaps as co-presenter on Doctor’s Orders or maybe even as health and wellness consultant on the Espresso show.

Her journey to become the face of wellness and healthy living began in school, where she was a competitive gymnast and ballerina.

“I used to ride to school every day and growing up on a farm in KZN allowed me to develop a love and passion for exercise and the great outdoors,” said Raleigh.

She always wanted to help people and be in the service industry, which led her to become a personal trainer after school.

She began by running a mobile personal training service, travelling to people’s homes with a car full of exercise equipment, training individuals and small groups.

Her big break arrived when she appeared on the Biggest Loser, providing a springboard for more opportunities.

“After having my daughter Bella, I discovered rebounding and have never looked back. It’s been the best exercise for me – in terms of health benefits and it helped me lose my baby weight quickly but safely.”

“I now offer rebounding classes and host regular courses so that gym or studio owners can become qualified Bounce Back instructors under the Lisa Raleigh brand.”
