21-year-old arrested for murder of neighbour in Hillbrow

HILLBROW – The suspect was charged for murder and police are still investigating.

It has been alleged that a 21-year-old suspect stabbed his neighbour in the early hours of 26 March.

Apparently, the suspect stabbed the 39-year-old man in the lower body. Johannesburg Central Police Station spokesperson, Captain Xoli Mbele said, “The victim was taken to hospital in a private vehicle where he was certified dead on arrival. The suspect tried to run away but the community gave chase and apprehended him. They took him as well to the hospital where police arrested him. The knife used in the commission of the crime has not yet been recovered.”

The suspect was charged for murder and police are still investigating. Mbele commended the community for not taking the law into their own hands.
