Covid-19: Traffic a day before Lockdown

ROSEBANK – People in Rosebank went about their normal business with moderate traffic on the roads in just about a day few before the country's Lockdown.

For most people, it’s pay-day today. The Rosebank Killarney Gazette went to observe how things were going on the streets of Rosebank. Oxford Road traffic was steady with moderate vehicles on the road.

Minibus taxis were also operational with most going to Rosebank and Randburg areas and few going the opposite direction into town. With about a day left before the Covid-19 Lockdown South Africa set for 26 March midnight as per President Cyril Ramaphosa’s announcement on 23 March; most patrons at the Rosebank Mall were seen wearing masks.

People were also calmly doing their shopping with very few queues in the shops. Entry points to malls and shops had sanitizers and posters with information about the coronavirus.
