Prudent Sandringham detective praised for rooting out bad apples from the community

SANDRINGHAM – Colonel Lindani Ndlovu has encouraged members of the public to report crime without fear at Sandringham Police Station.


The Station Commander at Sandringham Police Station Colonel Lindani Ndlovu has praised the prudent and hardworking detective, Constable Tsekiso Mofokeng for ensuring that a notorious criminal gets 20 years’ imprisonment for crimes he committed in 2015.

This is after a 44-year-old accused was recently convicted to 15 years’ imprisonment by the Johannesburg Magistrates’ Court for robbery with aggravating circumstances, two years for being in possession of an unlicensed firearm and three years for being possession of ammunition.

Spokesperson Captain Mohlaume Mamabolo said the suspect was arrested on 7 July 2015 in Corlette Drive Willows complex where he committed the crime.

“Constable Tsekiso Mofokeng has worked hard to ensure that the suspect that was arrested for terrorising the community get 20 years behind bars for robbery with aggravating circumstances and being in possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition. For the past three years, Constable Tsekiso Mofokeng worked tirelessly to ensure that a bad apple was taken out of the community and sent to where he belongs.”

Ndlovu encouraged community members to report criminals who break the law and terrorise the community.
