Police are in search of five armed suspects who robbed a clothing store on 16 March at about
11am near MTN Taxi Rank.
Police confirmed that no shots were fired and no injuries were reported. “The suspects were armed with firearms, knives and other weapons. Fortunately, no one was hurt,” said spokesperson for the Johannesburg Central Police Station, Captain Xoli Mbele.
They took an undisclosed amount of money and some of the customer’s items.
Police are still investigating. “We have video footage, we are confident that it will assist us in finding the suspects,” said Mbele.
