Multiple ambulance services were on the scene after a minibus taxi crash left seven passengers injured on Saturday evening (25 January) on Jan Smuts Avenue in Parktown.
The driver of the minibus taxi is believed to have lost control of the vehicle, crashing into a light pole, spokesperson for Netcare911 Shawn Herbst explained.
He added that medics assessed the scene and found seven people injured with minor and moderate injuries – one female passenger was seriously injured. “[She] was treated on scene by an advanced life support paramedic while the fire and rescue services used hydraulic tools to free her.”
