Red Bull gives university students the adventure of a lifetime

JOBURG – Red Bull opens applications for hit event, Red Bull Can You Make It? Giving students a chance to take on European adventure.

Red Bull has opened the applications for the worldwide hit event, Red Bull Can You Make It? The event is open to fearlessly creative varsity students and gives that an opportunity to showcase their skills and take on the northern hemisphere.

The competition sees 200 teams of three embark on a once in a lifetime trip around Europe for a chance to win a special prize. Each team begins their journey from one of five starting points across Europe; Amsterdam, Barcelona, Budapest, Copenhagen, and Milan, to make it to the final destination using nothing but Red Bull cans as currency along the way.

The 200 selected teams, chosen from almost 60 countries around the world, will start their journey on 21 April and each team will hand over their cash, credit cards, and personal phones and have one week to make it to this year’s final destination, Berlin.

Students will be tasked with exchanging cans of Red Bull for everything they need along their journey – from food and a place to sleep, to transportation to the next location and other adventures that make the experience legendary.

Selected teams will have to create their own path by visiting Checkpoints in various European cities, completing as many tasks on an adventure list as they can, and posting photos and videos that build support among their passionate social media followers. During their week-long journey, teams must stop at a minimum of six checkpoints before reaching the finish line.

Red Bull Can You Make It? 2020 comes on the heels of the last competition in 2018, when 198 teams managed to live the experiences of their dreams, from catching rides on commercial flights to backpacking across the European countryside.

Red Bull Can You Make It? isn’t only about winning; it’s about teamwork, determination, and how you make it. The boldest applicants from around the world will be chosen by a panel of judges and announced on March 9.
