Lesufi expected to announce action against Parktown Boys’ today

PARKTOWN – Many unanswered questions remain following the tragic death of Parktown Boys' High School Grade 8 learner Enock Mpianzi.

Gauteng Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi said on 22 January that he will act against the school within the next 48 hours.

This follows an alarming statement from a Grade 8 learner who was in Enock’s group during the river-rafting activity.

Lesufi is expected to update the public on the latest developments regarding Parktown Boys’ High School on 24 January at 10am.

Spokesperson for the Gauteng Department of Education Steve Mabona said, “The law firm appointed by the department to conduct an independent probe has already commenced with its process accordingly.”
