Parents accompanied their little ones to school as they embark on their new journey to “big school”. St Margaret Junior School at Roedean welcomed the Grade 1 girls by treating them to a day full of fun.
Gill Botlman, the school’s head, welcomed the learners during the school’s assembly in the morning. “The assembly was based on the South African Bake Off and we spoke about the recipe for success, for a successful school year,” she said.
The head of the Foundation Phase, Megan Raines, said it was a fun day. “We did not do any activities because today was really about the teachers and girls getting to know each other.”
