King Edward VII School (KES) in Houghton achieved a 99.5 per cent pass rate and 84.36 per cent bachelor pass in their matric exams.
The school enrolled 212 candidates who received a total of 313 distinctions averaging 1.48 distinctions per learner.
Muhammad Rawat was the top achiever, receiving an average of 93.7 per cent and eight distinctions while Joshua-Daniel Ruthel achieved an 89.7 per cent average and eight distinctions.
Other top achievers include:
- Dino Filipe Lourenco Claro who achieved an average of 89 per cent and seven distinctions
- Oliver Peter Marketos achieved an average of 88.4 per cent and six distinctions
- Nicholas Jonathan Whittaker achieved an average of 87.7 per cent and seven distinctions
- Phillip Michael Geoffrey Erasmus achieved 87 per cent average and five distinctions
- Riyaadh Seedat achieved 85.4 per cent average and six distinctions
- Nathanael de Swardt achieved 85.3 per cent average and six distinctions
- Crispin Mc Kenzie achieved an 82.9 per cent average and five distinctions
- Callum Ryan Beukes achieved an 82.7 per cent average and five distinctions.
