Parktown Boys’ proud of their achievements in the matric exams

PARKTOWN – Parktown Boys' High School attained a 98.1 per cent pass rate.


Parktown Boys’ High School congratulated their Class of 2019 matrics for their achievements on 8 January.

The class attained a 98.1 per cent pass rate, with 94 per cent of learners qualifying for tertiary education. The matrics achieved a total of 147 distinctions and a 62 per cent subject average.

The school congratulated top achievers Michael Goldschagg, Iverson Kevin Mpano and Keeran Perumal on attaining eight distinctions each.

Hamza Docrat, Musawenkosi Gumpu and Ahmad Moola attained seven distinctions each while Mohamed Mosam attained six distinctions.

Deputy headmaster Kevin Stippel said, “Congratulations must go to the matric Class of 2019 on their fantastic set of results that were recently achieved in the National Senior Certificate exams as well as the IEB subjects offered such as AP mathematics.

“This group of young men have achieved in the academic, cultural, sporting and values-based moral leadership spheres at the school and we trust the lessons learnt at school will enable them to make positive contributions to both the future of South Africa and as global citizens on the international stage.

“The skills learnt in communications, teamwork, collaboration, critical thinking and creativity ensures that they are able to adjust to the ever-changing employment landscape of the 21st century. Arise the young men of Parktown – we wish you all the best in your future endeavours.”
