Lombardy East’s Thembalami home receive Christmas present from FNB in Sandton

LOMBARDY EAST – Thembalami receives Christmas present from the FNB in Sandton.

It was fun and games at Thembalami Care Centre on 5 December last year when a contingent from FNB Business and FNB Premium Core Banking in Sandton arrived with early Christmas presents for the residents.

The care centre in Lombardy East is run by Rand Aid and incorporates the Max Ordman Deaf Association (Moda) and the Zamokuhle Service Centre.

The visitors donated cards, games, puzzles and sunblock and brought along crisps and cake to be enjoyed by all.

Two days’ later they returned with Santa shoeboxes full of goodies for all the residents as well as the Zamokuhle gogos.

“Thank you for the festive cheer you brought to our residents. Saturdays are usually quiet but you and your colleagues brought life and love into our home,” Thembalami manager Esme van der Walt told Simone Kirby of FNB Business and Radiyya Reddy of FNB Premium Core Banking.

“We also appreciate all the little extras you donated, such as the modelling clay, balls, puzzles, bubbles and other games for our residents living with dementia. The occupational therapy department will make great use of these to help stimulate the residents.”
