Thanks to all who assisted in erosion project

PARKVIEW – The Zoo Lake Users Group thanked all contributors and encouraged more people to participate in maintaining the Zoo Lake banks.

Community members recently joined the Zoo Lake Users Group for another erosion project planting day at Zoo Lake in Parkview. Erosion project manager Jacky Cresteil thanked Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo for their help by providing staff and the Saxonwold and Parkwood Residents Association (Sapra) for their contribution.

She also expressed her gratitude to Zula’s restaurant for providing the snacks and refreshments and the volunteers for their manpower as well as food and plant donations.

“We are having an early start next year and we invite more community members to join us as this is also a good way of obtaining community hours,” said Cresteil.
